Rabat – Perfect for History and Culture lovers


Rabat is truly a city filled with great sightseeing and attractions to explore! No matter what you have in mind, Rabat has something special waiting for you and is really worth adding to your Moroccan itinerary!

This place is known for its beautiful interior and calm environment. There is a specific lounge area to sit in, a bar section and a cafeteria for food and beverages. Tipping in Morocco is not mandatory but can be given for their outstanding service. 

The riad is quite central, near Rabat Beach and 2km away from Hassan Tower. The Mausoleum of Mohammed V is 3 km away from Euphoria and the Mohamed VI Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art is only 10 minutes away.

Especially those who are looking for a mix of adventure and romance will find their personal travel happiness in this unique desert camp.

Merzouga is located in the Sahara Desert, close to the Algerian border and is the gateway to Erg Chebbi, a huge sand dune landscape with a height of about 200 meters.

Upon arrival, guests are checking in at the main base of the Desert Berber Fire Camp, where the staff is exploring all the programs you can book onside. In the late afternoon, when the temperatures are cooling off, you will hop on a camel through the huge dunes of Erg Chebbi to watch the most incredible sunset of the Sahara starts and reach the Berber Camp.

The camp is super clean, very lovingly designed and yes, there are toilets. There is a big, delicious meal cooked for everyone, laughing together, singing songs and telling stories about Berber life. Camping under the bright starry sky and spending the night in the desert is a unique experience in Morocco.

The best time for visiting the Desert Berber Fire Camp is fall, winter or spring. Avoid summer as it is definitely too hot then. The budget can be variable, depending on your needs. But you should definitely count about 40 euros per night.

Chefchaouen – The best place in Morocco for a romantic getaway

Chefchaouen is a destination like no other! Located in Morocco’s northwestern Rif Mountains, Chefchaouen is known as the “Blue Pearl” due to its distinctive blue-washed buildings.

When visiting the town, be sure to wander the winding medina to admire the stunning blue hue that decorates all of the houses. Plus, the locals often wear white robes with their traditional headscarves which makes the place even more picturesque.

When strolling along Chefchaouen’s streets and squares, you will be enchanted by its atmosphere of laidback charm and its centuries-old culture. But if you are looking for a bit more activity, take a hike up the nearby mountains to find incredible views of the Blue Pearl from above.

You can also take in a bit of local culture at some of Chefchouan’s historical sites, such as Uta El-Hammam Square and the Spanish Mosque.

Another one of the most beautiful places to stay in Morocco is Chefchaouen. More precisely, the Dar Meziana – a lovely riad located in the heart of the Medina. 

This riad offers seven air-conditioned rooms located on three floors. Each of them is individually designed in a Moroccan-Andalusian style. Every room is equipped with a large double bed, a bathroom with several amenities and a fridge to keep your water cold. 

A traditional Moroccan breakfast is served in the gorgeous inner courtyard or on the rooftop terrace offering panoramic views of the blue pearl. Moreover, there’s a small library from where you can grab a book and relax in the lounge. There’s also the option to enjoy local dishes for dinner in the dining room.

Nearby sights such as the Kasbah and the Ras El Ma waterfalls are easily reachable within a 10-minute walk. The Bouhachem Nature Reserve is also just 10 km away.

Fès – A really cool ancient city

Fès is one of Morocco’s oldest cities and there is plenty to explore. This ancient city bursts with culture and history, and there are plenty of options when it comes to accommodation, so you don’t have to worry about not finding something suitable. Whether you prefer a budget hotel, an upscale villa or shared housing, Fes has something for everyone wanting to stay in the area.

Regarding what to do in Fès, make sure to check out the Jnan Sbil Gardens which are a lovely spot for a stroll, as well as being home to grand buildings and palm trees!

If you’re feeling like exploring and learning about Moroccan culture, head to the Madrasa of Fes el-Jdid and Madrasa Bou Inania. Then, make your way to the famous Tanneries for an insight into the leather-making process.

Nearby, walk to the iconic Fes Medina or Fes El Bali.
